Summer is almost here

The May/June/July issue of Oaxaca Times, Oaxaca's English language paper for expatriates, is now available with short pieces on the Guelaguetza, the Temazcal experience, and a review of a new Thai restaurant in the historic center:

There's also a very basic explanation of Oaxaca's Seven Moles -- really two moles and some sauces -- that seems to be more accurate than what is available on Wikipedia.

If you're new to Oaxaca, you can glean some tips on where to visit, shop and eat when you've just arrived and are finding your feet. If you've traveled to Oaxaca before, most of this won't be news, but the publication provides insight into the minds of the ex-pats and their attitude to the "tourists" who overrun their adopted city.

Here's the latest issue of the Oaxaca Times with articles on Semana Santa, good manners in Mexico, and a new Italian restaurant that bills itself as healthy and fresh and sounds like a winner.

Enjoy!
